Hello! I'm Elias and I am the main Classical Guitar Teacher at Off The Scale Music Workshop.

Music has been at the core of my life for as long as I can remember—a lifelong path of discovery, growth, and storytelling. I started playing classical guitar in second grade and quickly developed a deep passion for the instrument. Over the years, my studies took me through Finnish conservatories and music schools, eventually leading me to Berklee College of Music, where I focused on classical guitar performance. I had the privilege of learning from renowned musicians such as David Newsam, Berta Rojas, and Kim Perlak, while also earning a second major in Film & Media Scoring.

Although classical guitar has been my primary focus, my musical journey has given me the opportunity to explore a wide range of styles. I’ve spent time studying flamenco in Valencia, Spain, and my background has provided me with a deep appreciation for various genres, from traditional to contemporary.
I’m passionate about the art of clear, expressive playing—whether through performance or composition, I see music as a way to tell stories, evoke emotions, and connect with others.

Now based just outside New York City, I dedicate my time to teaching, composing, and performing. As an instructor, my goal is to help students develop their own unique voice on the guitar while building the skills and confidence to express themselves through music. Whether in the classroom or on stage, I strive to inspire others and share the endless possibilities that music has to offer.
